Pathogenic Melee & Lash Build — Close-Range Core
Pathogenic officially supports spikes for melee combat, and multiple melee organelles appear throughout balance notes. A good close-range build needs more than damage: it needs a way to enter, stay active, and leave danger safely.
What you need to know
Choose one close-range engine
Commit the build around one main melee or lash interaction, then use connected organelles to strengthen delivery, uptime, or safety. Do not sacrifice every movement option just to add one more damage piece.
Respect contact risk
Melee forces more time near enemies and hazards. That makes mobility, dodge timing, stamina, and room awareness more important than a paper damage number by itself.
Common questions
Is melee supported in Pathogenic?
Yes. The official game description explicitly lists spikes as melee-combat organelles, and official balance notes cover multiple melee attacks.
