Pathogenic Organelle Pickups — Cancel Before Equipping
Pathogenic lets players back out of an organelle reward before equipping it. The official UX notes make the boundary clear: organelle selections can be cancelled before placement, while mutation rewards do not receive the same treatment.
What you need to know
The official rule
When picking up organelle rewards, you can leave the editor panel to cancel the selection as long as you have not equipped the organelle yet.
Mutation rewards are different
The same update explicitly warns that mutation rewards do not benefit from this change and cannot be cancelled in the same way.
Common questions
Can I cancel an organelle pickup in Pathogenic?
Yes, as long as you have not equipped it yet. Leave the editor panel to cancel the selection.
